CAR (Chicago Artists Resource)
This is a wonderful tool created and enabled by the Chicago Department of
Cultural Affairs. It is a guide for artists on how to improve their art,
careers, living situations, work practices and on and on. It is thorough and
being emulated by many other cities, but it happened here first.
Bad At Sports
This is a team of artist-journalists who do weekly podcasts about Chicago
art that you can play on your computer. They are really good!
Friedman Fine Art
Loren Friedman of Friedman Fine Art has been developing corporate, residential
and institutional art programs in the Chicago area for the past 38 years. Along
with paintings, prints, photography and sculpture FFA has a strong focus on art
of Chicago and art by Chicago artists. Their marvelous selection of Chicago
photography consists of both Contemporary
Chicago Photographs and Historic
Chicago Photographs.
TimeOut Chicago
TimeOut has become the go-to place for art reviews and news on the Chicago
Art Scene. Worthy.
Re-title.com
This is cool - good coverage of the au currant, hip art in Chicago, Los
Angeles, New York, London and Paris. Which amply indicates a point I've
been making.
