CAR (Chicago Artists Resource)
This is a wonderful tool created and enabled by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. It is a guide for artists on how to improve their art, careers, living situations, work practices and on and on. It is thorough and being emulated by many other cities, but it happened here first.

Bad At Sports
This is a team of artist-journalists who do weekly podcasts about Chicago art that you can play on your computer. They are really good! (They interviewed me in the Fall of '05 - listen here)

Friedman Fine Art - Historical Chicago Photographs and Photography
They have a huge trove of Chicago photographs and Chicago paintings - many old and many new. Besides an excellent resource for corporations, offices and individuals, their website is a blast to cruise for a fix on what Chicago does, and used to, look like.

TimeOut Chicago
TimeOut has become the go-to place for art reviews and news on the Chicago Art Scene. Worthy.

Re-title.com
This is cool - good coverage of the au currant, hip art in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, London and Paris.  Which amply indicates a point I've been making.

When Danny met Sally - Vintage with a Vengeance
This site is a hoot.  Lots of humorous reflections on days past
